Biography

I am committed to making the world a better place by inspiring young people in positive ways. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Brigham Young University (BYU), where I played cello in the Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Kory Katseanes. Prior to attending BYU, I studied cello with Dr. James McWhorter at Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho on a music scholarship. While at Rick's I played in many ensemble groups, and had opportunities to work with the Ying Quartet, while earning an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in Performing Arts. I've performed in master classes for Jurgen de Lemos and Carter Bray. I currently play with the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra.
I am a qualified Suzuki cello teacher and have completed training from the Suzuki Association of the Americas (SAA). I continue my professional development as a member of the SAA and by returning for additional training every summer.
